Robert Morales was born in Havana, Cuba on July of 1971. As a child he took piano and guitar lessons. In 1987 he migrated to Spain and a year later to the United States. Soon after arriving to the United States he started playing keyboards and singing background vocals with Grupo Kantares, at Saint Hugh church in Coconut Grove. Soon after, he started playing piano and singing with teen salsa band X-100-PRE (read Por Siempre) which would later evolve into "Los Babies de la Salsa". From 1991 to 1997 Robert played in many Miami clubs, such as Desire, Maxim, Swiss Chateau, and Mystique, as well as the Calle Ocho and Bayfront Park Festivals with salsa band Orquesta La Llave, singing and playing keyboads and sometimes bass. He participated in the band's first two albums, co-arranging and programming synthesizers, percussion, as well as background vocals. Also in 1996 he recorded four original songs. In the late 90's he produced several studio productions. In 1999, he opened Síndrome Productions recording studio, and a short-lived band named "Grupo Síndrome". In 2000 Robertico became part of Trio Tropical and Duo Arroz con Mango with singer Arlene Roves and percussionist Manny Tejera. He later became the steady outfit at Studio Cafe, first with Arlene Roves, and later with singer Ibis Fleites in what later evolved into the house band, featuring percussionist Hector PortaL, violinist Yoel "El Huracán" and flutist Gustavo Cruz "Gloria de Cuba". He has also perfomed in many Miami establishments such as The Big Five Club, Casa Cañí, The Fish House, Marcelino Pan y Vino, Boleros Night Club, Mima's Tapas y Vinos, Mi Tinaja, Wajiros Restaurant, El Palacio de los Jugos, David Place Restaurant and Night Club, Havana's on the Bay, Rendezvous on the Lakes, Lombardi's at Bayside, Spice Resto-lounge, Dolphin Mall, La Casa de Tula, Lakes Cafe, Bayside Marketplace, La Cepa Tapas y Vinos, and Habana Mía, among other. He is currently performing Wednesdays at Club Caribbean Night; Fridays and Sarturdays at Arlen Beach Cafe, Sundays at Bayside or Dolphin Mall, and at private events, perfoming solo or with the Vista Alegre Club or HSM Bands.
