Robertico Morales

Robertico Morales was born in Havana, Cuba on July of 1971. As a child he took piano and guitar lessons. In 1987 he migrated to Spain and a year after to the United States. Soon after arriving he started playing keyboards and background vocals with Grupo Kantares, at Saint Hughe church in Coconut Grove. Later he played with teen salsa band X-100-PRE (read Por Siempre) later known as Los Babies de la Salsa. From 1991 to 1997 played in many Miami clubs, such as Desire, Maxim, Swiss Chateau, and Mystique, as well as the Calle Ocho Festival with salsa band Orquesta La Llave, singing and playing keyboad and sometimes bass. He participated in the band's first two albums, co-arranging and programming synthesizers and percussion as well as background vocals. Also in 1996 he recorded a four original song demo, three of which are available at myspace.com/roberticomusic. Years later, in 1999, he opened Síndome Productions recording studio. In 2000 Robertico became part of Trio Tropical and Duo Arroz con Mango with singer Arlene Roves. He later became the steady outfit at Studio Cafe, with singer Ibis Fleites in what later evolved into the house band Grupo Guami. He has also perfomed in many Miami establishments such as The Big Five Club, Casa Cañí, The Fish House, Marcelino Pan y Vino, Wajiros Restaurant, David Place Restaurant and Night Club, Havana's on the Bay, and Rendezvous on the Lakes.
